Beth Levine
Beth Levine (referred to as “Ms. Beth in the classroom) grew up in Durham, NC and attended UNC-Chapel Hill where she received a BA in psychology. She then attended graduate school at the University of Maryland-College Park where she received her Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Special Education. She taught for four years in Maryland before moving back to North Carolina. Ms. Levine started teaching at Douglas Elementary in 1992, teaching the CCK-1 class for 8 years. She then started teaching the Preschool Special Education Class that opened up at Douglas Elementary in 2000. In 2002 she obtained her National Board Teaching Certification and renewed it in 2010.
Yoselin Gonzalez is the Instructional Assistant in Ms. Beth’s class. She is referred to as “Mrs. G.” in the classroom. She is instrumental in facilitating communication in Spanish with both parents and students, as well as working positively with all of the students in the classroom.
